6 solutions for Industry 4.0 development

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said that with the explosive development of the digital economy, the Industrial Revolution 4.0 created both great opportunities and challenges for the development of each country, ethnic group as well as each community, individual and business. Recognizing this early, on May 4, 2017, Directive 16 on strengthening the capacity to access the Industrial Revolution 4.0 (Industry 4.0) was issued. The Prime Minister said that in order for Vietnam to catch up with the Industry 4.0, it is necessary to implement 6 solutions simultaneously:

First, focus on perfecting mechanisms, institutions, policies and laws to keep up with digital economy and smart industry.

Second, building synchronous infrastructure, in which, information technology and information infrastructure play the role of infrastructure of the infrastructure.

Third, quickly develop human resources to meet digital economic requirements.

Fourth, develop a national innovation system, promote startups in all industries, have specific and feasible plans to develop and master the digitalized Vietnamese knowledge system, arouse passion. hunger.

Fifth, the whole political system, business community, people need to join hands in innovation, proactively grasp and effectively exploit the great opportunities of Industry 4.0.

Sixth, enterprise is both the center and the driving force for the development of new technology and the application of science and technology to real life. Digital enterprise development is identified as a central, long-term task for digital economy development in Vietnam.

Currently, the Government's guiding view is to develop digital economy and smart industries in association with economic transformation and restructuring to enhance national competitiveness. The Prime Minister wishes to receive comments from the delegates. The opinions will be synthesized to build an overall strategy on the access to Industry 4.0.

A long journey always starts with a short one

Mr. Nguyen Van Binh, Head of Central Economic Commission, said that strategy 4.0 has been built by many countries around the world. Not only developed countries such as the US, Germany, Japan, but also some countries in Africa such as Kenya have issued strategy 4.0. In the region, China, Thailand and Singapore also have strategies to approach the ongoing industrial revolution.

According to the Head of the Central Economic Commission, Vietnam must participate in the Industry 4.0 if it does not want to pay a high price in the future. Every Vietnamese needs to overcome the old thinking, the old way of doing it in a short time to catch up with the revolution.

What is difficult for Vietnam is its uneven development across regions. There are places that are only performing CMCN 3.0, 2.0, ... However, the current context requires Vietnam to catch up with 4.0. Therefore, the strategy to be formulated needs to state each appropriate step as Japan often says: "A long journey always starts from a short journey".
